Chassis codes, model years and OPF: your exhaust fitment checklist

Two cars carrying the same model badge can have different exhaust connections. These details make choosing the right product easier.

Body codes matter

W205, S205 and C205 identify different Mercedes body styles within the same generation. Rear systems can differ in length, hangers and outlets. Do not transfer compatibility between body styles unless the exact product lists both.

Check downpipes too

A shared engine can mean shared parts, but an engine name alone does not confirm connections, sensors or emissions equipment. Choose only a model year and body code listed for the product.

OPF and GPF

Both refer to a gasoline particulate filter. Equipment can vary by market and production date. First registration is not always the model year. Check the vehicle documentation or ask your workshop if you do not know its specification.

What to provide

Enter the exact model variant, chassis and year, and tell us about modifications. A VIN, production date and photographs help identify the existing setup. “Unknown” means a detail is unconfirmed; it does not mean every variant fits.
